Bloomington High School Senior Portraits of Nathan
When Nathan's dad called to make an appointment his for Senior Pictures, it became obvious that he is very pleased with his son. Nathan has quite a list of achievements that would make any parent proud.
Nathan’s dad stopped by the studio, where we talked about ideas for outfits for Nathan to wear for his senior pictures. We went over some of the outfits Nathan has and was considering for his portraits. We talked about some of the items of personal interest that Nathan could bring with him to be included in some of the poses that we would be taking. Both of us felt confident that I could get everything that Nathan, his dad and his mom wanted with a senior portrait session in our studio camera room, and that is what they selected. So we set an appointment for a date and time to do the photography.
When Nathan came in for his senior portrait session, he was well prepared with four outfits and a couple of items from his athletic teams that I could include in some of the poses that we would be taking. Dad came along with him, helping to carry everything and giving Nathan support while getting his portrait taken.
First, we started off with Nathan in his suit and tie. Nathan had a real nice suit and tie, which I thought made him look older. With that, we took some traditional head and shoulders portraits, which are still desired by many parents and grandparents.
Then I changed the background to a more contemporary background. With it, I did some more dramatic looking angles and poses that I thought everyone would like. In addition to changing the background, I changed up my lighting to add to the look and give it the dramatic impact that I was going for.
After taking plenty of poses in his suit and tie, I had Nathan go change into his second outfit, a dress shirt to give us a dressed down semi casual look without a tie.
With this outfit, I photographed Nathan with his own golf clubs that he brought along after our planning session. These would be some favorites, because Nathan and his dad have had some great times golfing together, which they both really enjoy. It sure makes some good father and son memories together. Nathan plays golf on the Bloomington High School varsity golf team, where he is a co-captain.
After taking a good number of poses of Nathan with his golf clubs, I had him put on his BHS letter jacket and pick up his tennis racket that he brought to his session. I photographed Nathan in a number of poses using his tennis racket, and I again changed the background and lighting to give us a different look and add more variety to the photography. Nathan was sure to like these, too. He is quite the athlete, lettering both in tennis and golf at Bloomington High School, plus he received the good sportsmanship award.
In addition to all of that, Nathan made the All State 3rd team in doubles tennis, and he was awarded a Big 12 Scholar Athlete, plus played in the BHS Band for two years, and he was a sound tech at his church.
However, his biggest awards are Nathan’s academic achievements. He was a member of the National Honor Society at BHS. Math is Nathan’s favorite subject, and he has taken classes in Algebra, Calculus, Geometry, and Statistics. Nathan’s goal is to attend college and pursue a degree in Actuary Science.
Later, Nathan’s mom joined all of us here in the studio where they viewed the many poses on our monitor and made their selections.
Nathan came in for our In-Studio Senior Portrait Session, for which we have been known for many years. It was most enjoyable to photograph Senior Portraits for such an outstanding young man.
