Dr. King called upon me for portraits to commemorate his ordination as Bishop, which is quite an honor. He has pastored the Bible Fellowship Apostolic Church of East St. Louis for many, many years. The church has grown tremendously under his leadership, and recently moved to a huge new church building in neighboring Cahokia, IL.
In addition, he has been a university president in St. Louis, and many, many other accolades and endeavors too numerous to list. No doubt though, Bishop must be the one nearest and dearest to his heart. While I have known many medical doctors and many with various doctoral degrees, Dr. King is probably the only one I have known who has achieved three doctorate degrees.
So, it was quite an honor for me as well to be chosen as the photographer for his official Bishop's Portrait.
