Churches
This is the church where Denis photographed his very first wedding on a cold January day many, many years ago! Like Denis, it is still going strong, and looks no where near it’s age. We have since photographed numerous, numerous weddings at this church by Illinois State University.
First United Methodist Church of Normal
The same day, Denis photographed his second wedding at this beautiful church building (formerly the Second Christian Church) and had to have his mother drive him here from the first wedding because he was not old enough to have a driver’s license! Built in 1902 by famous Bloomington architect Arthur Pillsbury, this church still has some absolutely beautiful original stained glass windows among it's character, along with the original oak trim on the interior. It is located just blocks from downtown Bloomington at 411 East Mulberry Street.

This church is where Denis photographed his third wedding. Formerly the St Luke Union Church, this beautiful, older, updated church building is now the Christian Faith Center, at the corner of Front and Lee Streets in downtown Bloomington, just in back of the U.S. Cellular Coliseum.

Denis photographed one of the first weddings held here in 1984, and this continues to be one of the most beautiful churches in Bloomington. Designed after the Old North Church in Boston, Evelyn Chapel on the Illinois Wesleyan University campus made the cover of Architectural Digest magazine! It is one of our favorite places to photograph weddings in Bloomington.
