As you can see in the portraits, Chuck is a starting letterman on the Lexington Basketball team and the Track team. Chuck excels in Math, and the many award medals draped around his neck were from Math team competitions. After graduating, Chuck will be attending the University of Alabama with plans to major in Math. Since it does not snow in Alabama, we had to get some outside in the snow while wearing a University of Alabama outfit, just so he could show everyone there what snow in Illinois looks like!

The stately New England style Christ Church in Normal Illinois was their ceremony location. Most notable at this wedding was the family love that was prevalent among everyone involved. There seemed to be no in-laws, only brothers and sisters. Everyone made it so enjoyable to be photographers for this beautiful wedding.

While many weddings have flower girls and ring bearers, Anna and Collin made it known that children were welcome and wanted at their wedding. When a baby began crying during the ceremony, Pastor Bob, Anna and Collin all smiled and accepted it in stride, then all the guests did as well. It was not an interruption. Instead, it was like an ice breaker that helped everyone relax. With Pastor Bob’s lead, it was warm and touching.

Anna looked stunning with her long flowing ginger colored hair framed by her veil and wedding gown from Bobbie’s Bridal. Collin and his groomsmen looked grand in their tuxedos from Men’s Wearhouse.

After stopping for some outdoor photography on this ideal day, a reception followed at the Miller Park Pavilion in Bloomington Illinois, a great location for weddings with huge windows on three sides to let in an abundance of daylight, great for photography. We have had the pleasure of photographing numerous Weddings, Proms and Homecoming Dances at Miller Park Pavilion, and hope to photograph more events there in the future. Nelson’s Catering of Springfield Illinois made it a superb wedding reception and served a delicious meal.

June weddings are back.

Nathan and his dad have some great times golfing together. Nathan was co-captain of the BHS golf team, lettering both in tennis and golf, and received the good sportsmanship award. He made the All State 3^rd team in doubles tennis. Nathan was awarded a Big 12 Scholar Athlete, played in the BHS Band for two years, and was a sound tech at his church.

In academic achievements, Nathan was a member of National Honor Society. Math is his favorite subject, and he has taken classes in Algebra, Calculus, Geometry, and Statistics. Now he is pursuing college with the goal of a degree in Actuary Science.

Nathan came in for our In Studio Senior Portrait Session, for which we have been known for many years. It was most enjoyable to photograph Senior Portraits for such an outstanding young man.

Our studio dressing room made this all so easy, so we began in the studio. We started with her Prom dress, in which Amber looked absolutely stunning. She looked so gorgeous, it was difficult to stop photographing. After she changed into her Clinton Maroons Track uniform, this girl was all business. Amber is a 3 sport athlete at Clinton High School, participating on the Track, Basketball and Cross Country teams.  After photography in her team jerseys and uniforms, Amber tried two or three casual outfits in the studio.

Next, we headed to the park for some outdoor portraits on our beautiful sunny day. Amber was prepared, with several outfits picked out especially for the outdoors, along with the various shoes, accessories and of course her shades.

After the park we went downtown for some casual portraits by some funky old alleys and store fronts and the old courthouse. We both had fun picking out cool places for backgrounds, and we are glad Amber had more outfits to add even more variety to her Senior Portrait Sessions.

The wedding party had a great time getting ready upstairs in the beautifully appointed dressing rooms of the Patrick Haley Mansion. The bridesmaids’ deep red dresses were perfect for a sunny day. Melissa and James looked regal. Their outdoor ceremony was held under the pergola, and officiated by Rev. Jim Rehnberg, who also officiated the wedding of Melissa’s parents!

After a superb sit down dinner, no one missed the incredible dessert bar. Everyone celebrated and partied and had a great time dancing to the music of Music by Design. Melissa and James, it was truly a pleasure photographing such a warm and friendly couple, your families and wedding party. We wish you the best in your new life together.

It was such a JOY when Christi and Matt contacted us to photograph their beautiful wedding! Christi and her family remembered us from photographing her sister Vicki’s wedding to Tim in 1978! We could not ask for better clients than this.

Christi and Matt held their ceremony before a full house at the Christian Church in Christi’s hometown of LeRoy, Illinois. Christi’s exquisite dress is from Michelle’s Bridal in Champaign, IL. Her six Bridesmaids and Flower Girl looked perfect for a May wedding in deep purple bridesmaid dresses, also from Michelle’s in Champaign, IL. Christi’s little Pug Pansy was the Pug of Honor, walking down the aisle wearing a wreath of spring flowers. She was adorable!

After their ceremony, a festive reception was held at The Chateau in Bloomington. After dinner, everyone danced the night away to the fantastic musical arrangements of The Steve Edwards Orchestra from Chicago.
